Hello!

Our names are Jeff and Julie. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family, and considering us to be a part of your journey! Please know that we are praying for you and your baby as you walk this road. We cannot imagine all of the feelings and thoughts you have throughout this time. We admire you for considering this choice for your baby and we know that God has a perfect plan for you both!

We are excited to bring a new precious little one into our home through adoption! Because we are not first-time parents, we know that we can provide a child with a loving, stable home where he/she will be loved and accepted unconditionally. All four of our children are just as excited as we are for a new little one to join our family, and will make wonderful, caring brothers and sisters!

We believe in having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as our Savior through grace and faith alone. Our faith in Him is why we live our lives the way we do. We are committed to living a life that is balanced between family, work, and serving others.

We are committed to raising a child to be strong spiritually, emotionally, physically, and educationally, by giving them the best possible care, love, guidance, and support throughout their life. We will teach him/her to treat others as he/she wants to be treated, to be kind, and to love others.

As you look through this book, we hope our story will be an encouragement and help you in making your choice. We look forward to meeting you!

FAQ’s about placing a baby for Adoption

I'm considering giving my baby up for adoption. How much does that cost?

It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.

I'm experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know who the birth father is. Can I still place my baby for adoption?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.

When is the right time to talk with an adoption professional?

You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

When I create an adoption plan, will I get to choose who is in the room with me during delivery?

One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.

How much contact will I have with the adoptive family after I place my baby with them?

As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.

Fine Arts & 1st Place

04/12/2022

A few weeks ago, we took a little road trip so our kids could participate in Fine Arts! This is a fun experience for them that also pushes them a little outside of their comfort zones. Morgan performed a speech excerpt from “Anne of Green Gables” and a classical piano piece. Sadie performed an excerpt called “She’s Got Spunk” from the Junie B. Jones book series.  They both got first place in all three categories! We’re so proud of them for their hard work and dedication to memorizing those speeches, and then getting up in front of an audience even though they were a little nervous.  Fine Arts isn’t the most important thing, of course, but it’s such a neat opportunity that we can give them that will help prepare them for their futures.

Taking time to heal

03/29/2022

We haven’t posted on our blog page lately because we’ve had a lot going on. Over the last 4 weeks, we were matched, had a baby shower, got our baby nursery ready–painted, clothes washed, and everything organized. And then…we experienced a disruption. It was hard and it’s been kinda tough, to be honest with you.  We have been processing and praying, asking God to heal our hearts and guide us to the right birth mom and baby for our family. I’m so grateful for His promises and comfort! I have been clinging to God’s Word and Psalm 62:5-8 has been so encouraging to me: “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.”  Music has also been a huge help and is just therapeutic. When I can't find the words, I often find them in a song. This song is one of my...

Friday nights

01/14/2022

At our house, Friday nights are for desserts and a movie! After a long work week, it's nice to unwind with each other and relax. This has become a bit of a tradition--to have dessert--and do something fun together like play games or watch a movie.  Tonight, it's ice cream for me and the kids (Turkey Hill is a favorite brand!) and sugar cookies for Jeff.

Our Christmas Tradition & Memories

12/26/2021

Christmas has come and gone, and we are left with sweet memories. Being in education, we get a full 2 weeks off, so we still have another week off to make memories. For the past several years, we have chosen to give our own children the gift of memories for Christmas. They get other gifts from grandparents, aunts & uncles, but we get to plan a family trip! We stay at a nice hotel and plan fun activities to do as a family. It varies each year, but this year, we went to see Zoo Lights and an Old Fashioned Christmas Village. We ate at The Cheesecake Factory–the kids had never been–and took them to a Trampoline Park and swam in the hotel pool. It was simple and fun, and we had a great time! After our trip, we came home to await Christmas! Christmas Eve is special with our church’s Candlelight Christmas Eve Service, remembering the true meaning of Christmas--the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ!  They get to open one gift from siblings, and we make my overnight Homemade Cinnamon Rolls so they’re ready for breakfast on Christmas Morning.  After the kids are in bed, Jeff and I...

Date Night Christmas Party

12/14/2021

Jeff and I make our relationship a priority because it's so important to keep dating your spouse (even 15 years later!) Our relationship sets the tone for our home. Our kids know that Mommy & Daddy love each other and are on the same page about everything. Whether it’s a date night out, snuggling on the couch and talking while the kids are playing, or one-on-one time at home after the kids are in bed–we simply enjoy being together.  Over the weekend, we enjoyed a dinner out for our church’s Christmas Party. We enjoyed spending time with the adults during this sweet Christmas season. Many of these people are our closest friends who are like family–our tribe & support system! They are amazing, level-headed, and simply precious people. We had a great time–playing games, exchanging gifts, and enjoyed the time together!    #marriagematters #dateyourspouse #married #familytime #makingmemories #christmasparty #christmasmemories #christmas #parentfinderID #parentfinderWY #parentfinderUT #parentfinderAZ #parentfinderCO #parentfinderSC #parentfinderGA #parentfinderNE #parentfinder#CA

Stringing Popcorn

12/10/2021

It was so much fun to string popcorn as a family last night. I haven’t done this since I was a kid!!  We popped popcorn from the kernels over the stove (just like I used to do with my grandparents!), got some red thread and a needle, and started carefully stringing. Of course, we all snuck a few pieces of popcorn to eat too!  Such sweet, simple memories. We can’t wait to share these memories and make new ones with another precious child.  🥰 #makingmemories #wyomingadoption #adoptionWY #adoptionID #newtraditions #christmastraditions #familytime

Homemade Baking

12/08/2021

The holiday season brings a lot of extra baking to our home. Baking is something I LOVE to do anytime of year–whether it’s homemade bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, peppermint bark, or pies. Baking all of those yummy things from scratch brings me joy and brings back memories of childhood. I remember baking with my mom when I was a little girl, and I love that I get to teach my kids how to bake too. One of our favorite Christmas Traditions is to have homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning! I make the recipe on Christmas Eve, and all that’s left to do in the morning is bake them. We are looking forward to enjoying those in a few weeks, but for now, we're enjoying Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls (what I'm making in the picture)! We look forward to bringing another little one into our home soon–to love and share and teach these fun things to! They are precious memories.   #baking #familyfun #holidayseason #christmastraditions #traditions

Yay for the weekend!

12/06/2021

It’s Saturday!! YAY! December can be extra busy with all the parties, advent family activities and a little “Elf on the Shelf” fun. But just like every other month, we still enjoy our Saturdays at home together.  What does a typical Saturday look like at our house? We sleep in a little–(well, 6am is sleeping in for me. I am an early riser 😉) Sometimes we make a big pancake breakfast; other days it’s simply cereal. We get some housework done–normal cleaning and the kids tidy up their rooms–or work on a project. I like to get caught up on laundry. We spend lots of time playing with the kids and Cooper, and run any errands. It’s nothing special, but it’s our Saturday, and I love the “down” day at home. 🙂Oh, and Jeff and I try to sneak away for a little bit sometimes too. 🥰 #ourstory #simplelife #simpleliving #saturdayfun #familytime #familyadventures #saturdaypancakes

Bedtime Stories

12/02/2021

We love reading a story to the kids at bedtime (or anytime)!  They choose a favorite book and it's time to snuggle up close. I especially love hearing Jeff read to the kids--he brings the stories to life with his animated voices for the characters. His dad (Paw-paw) told him stories as a child, and Jeff tells those same stories to our kids. I love that he's passing that on to them.    #storytelling #bedtimeroutine #bedtimestories #timewithdaddy #snuggleup #familyadventure #traditions #familytraditions

Thanksgiving Weekend!

12/02/2021

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Fall is one of our favorite times of year. We love the scents, the food, the baking, all the colors of the trees, and the cooler weather. We spent a few days together at home--decorating for Christmas, baking pies, making homemade rolls, and enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving meal together. We played games together, enjoyed Hot Apple Cider, and watched Christmas movies. Jeff and the kids made an obstacle course in the backyard and played on the trampoline, and I got to start teaching Sadie how to sew! The holidays are fun and filled with excitement, but we want to make sure to stop and enjoy those around us and thank God for all He has given us. So today, we are grateful and look forward to the day we can bring another sweet little one into our home to love unconditionally.  "Every good and perfect gift is from above." - James 1:17   #familyfun #fall #thanksgiving2021 #familytime #celebrating #thankfulness #gratitude #decoratingforChristmas

We also visited a local farm complete with a hay maze, ice cream, and lots of animals to see! Seth's face says it all about getting to pet that cow!!! He's Home!

11/09/2021

Jeff was away on a business trip for a few days last week and it is so good to have him home! He is the BEST husband and father, and I miss him if he's ever out of town (this was the first trip in several years). We do everything together: making meals, cleaning up, caring for and playing with our kids, we even work together! Every aspect of life we get to do together, so when he was gone, I miss him.  But we had a great week, I enjoyed spending extra time with our kids. Our life isn't perfect by any means, but it's our life and we love it. I am truly grateful for the husband God has given me. Pumpkin Patch & S'more Dip!!!

10/31/2021

We took time on Saturday (the day before Halloween) to just enjoy being together and celebrating fall! It was a full day because we also had a few errands to run and house chores to do, but everyone pitched in and we got it done so we could have fun! We went to the Pumpkin Patch and took a few pictures and carved pumpkins at home. In the past, we've celebrated by having a "sweets day" but this year I wanted to do something more intentional instead of just a bunch of candy. So...we made a S'mores Dip and a S'more Charcuterie Board with all kinds of treats--Graham Crackers, Strawberries, Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, Pretzels, Oreos! It was an amazing day with lots of memories made!

Surprise Trip to Georgia!

12/02/2021

My sweet momma turned 70 this month! I had been planning a surprise trip to go see her for her birthday since the spring! Jeff was so sweet to handle things at home - he's an amazing husband and father and has no problem taking care of the kids and house on his own for a few days if needed. I am so thankful for him! My brother picked me up from the late night flight into Atlanta, and I showed up at my parents' house the next morning. My parents were so surprised!! We had the best 4 days together, just the 3 of us--talking, shopping, and getting some projects done around their house.  I am grateful for that special time with them. They're the best!

Serving a Widow

We spent this weekend serving a widow in our community and helping with some house projects around her house. We got a ton accomplished and had so much fun working together and with some friends.  We completely cleared out her basement and garage, did some yard work, and stained her deck.  Even our kids helped us! They worked so hard and we treated them to homemade ice cream sundaes afterward.

We started this several years ago, and it's made for some amazing memories together!   Sadie is funny, spunky and full of personality. She cares for others deeply, adores animals of all kids, and is a great big sister! She is especially excited to have a new little one in the house that she can love and play with. 💗

We love taking our kids on dates too! We try to make it happen once a month with each child.  Sometimes it’s one-on-one. Sometimes it’s just the girls or just the boys. A meal out—or maybe a sweet treat (and coffee for mom of course!). A bike ride or hike, a walk along the river, playing a game together, it can be anything just to spend quality time with them and keep our relationship growing. We know how important it is to talk with our kids and get to know their hearts. We want to make sure they know they can always come to us with anything. 💖 This month, I took the girls out to the Fair and we had the best time! The girls rode all the rides together and I think that’s the best thing! We enjoyed some yummy food too!

Father-Son Backpacking Trip

Jeff took the boys on the Annual Father-Son Backpacking Trip with our church. It was a small group this year, but so glad they got to go! We love living so close to such wide-open spaces and "the great outdoors!" They drove for a little bit to get to the trailhead, and then hiked 4 miles in and set up camp. Even though the boys are young (6 and 8), they absolutely LOVE to go backpacking with Daddy and I’m always amazed at their stamina. They went fishing, played in the lake, and of course climbed on rocks and built a fort. Everyone came back safe, happy, and hungry! I always make sure to have a great meal planned for the day they get back from this trip because they are famished and ready for a homecooked meal.

Camp Week

08/01/2021

We just enjoyed the best week away at Camp! This is a Christian camp about 3 hours from our home. It’s way up in the mountains and it is absolutely refreshing to be up there! There is very limited reception so it really is a “getaway” where we can relax, spend time with the Lord and each other, and be refreshed. Our daughter, Sadie, was a camper there, and Jeff was the speaker for the week, so that allowed all of our family to go and enjoy the week. The boys had a blast playing with other staff kids their age and were filthy from playing and exploring in “the great outdoors” every night. Morgan and her friend Laynie helped in the kitchen for the week. They both did a great job! The counselors and staff do a great job building relationships with the kids and showing them how to love Jesus and live for Him on a practical level. The week is packed FULL of fun things for the campers: games, crafts, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, a snack/gift shop, and plenty of good food. It was so much fun and we are thankful for the relaxing time away.

Harvesting from our Garden!!

07/26/2021

We are starting to get some harvest from our garden! Gardening is something that is ingrained in me. My grandpa had a HUGE garden when I was little, and I remember getting up early in the morning and going out to till the garden, or pick the harvest with him. I loved it and treasure those memories! I haven’t had a ton of experience with gardening, but I’ve tried more things each year.  Last year, Jeff and I built a greenhouse in our backyard together. That's been a big part of being able to do more gardening because of the winters. So we saved up, found a blueprint we liked, got the supplies and got started! The kids loved helping us build! It was quite the project and made for some great memories. This is the second year we’ve had a garden in there. We have tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumber, spinach, green beans and I’m trying eggplant too! This picture is from the boys helping me pick our first harvest of the year—beans! We’ve had a little spinach grow too! We sautéed the beans up with a little olive oil and salt & pepper and they were delicious! I...

He’s a good medium size, about 25 lbs, and does great traveling in the car for long rides. Our kids share the responsibility of taking care of Cooper, and we love having him around. :)

Birthday Celebrations

He also got to choose all of his meals--Donuts for breakfast, BLTs for lunch, and Pigs in a Blanket for dinner. He chose a Trifle with fresh fruit, pudding and cool whip, and of course ice cream! Yum!! :) Joel is witty and funny. He's our most agile, competitive child. He loves ALL kinds of sports, riding his bike & enjoys helping Daddy build anything. He’s tender hearted, eager to learn, and wants to be involved and helping no matter what we’re doing...cooking, cleaning, gardening, projects, you name it!  He adores playing with little kids! It's fun to see him interact with babies, toddlers and preschoolers--he gets absolutely giddy and loves playing with them.
